Hey people, the work is in progress, and the release is looming over us. Thing is, we might gonna have to move the release date a little bit. February 28'th is actually still a good possibility, but just in case something happens, we want to warn you in advance. If nothing really bad happens, first half of March is the latest we'll release the demo. Or maybe we'll just release it on 28'th, that could happen too.
And now, since I got nothing better to do, I wanna go on about this crazy guy popping in the comments time from time. He claims he actually wrote the game, and that Ecstasy stole his work. Bullshit, every last bit of it. You wanna know what really happened?
One day, he shows up on the IRC, and starts spewing his ideas. Half of those ideas was very stupid, and other half was such basic things, we thought of them before we even started making the damn thing. Like: "You get to have a happy end with Granberia" or "Chrome should be recruit-able". So, we just ignore him, until other IRC members get tired, and tell him to sod off. Then, he claims ownership of the IRC, which we never bothered to do, and starts banning everyone left and right. He actually acted like he was doing us a favor, too. Ecstasy told him what he thinks about him in his usual manner, and guy became insanely mad. We just remade the IRC, and claimed it this time, so this weirdo wouldn't show up.
But then, he starts appearing in the comments on the wiki and here, claiming that mod is not being worked on because Ecstasy stole his work, ran out of his ideas, and now can't do anything. Even after I stated like fifty times that it's about college work. People, let me get this clear, Ecstasy wrote almost the entire thing. Like, 99.63% of it. I think there might be a scene or two not written by him, but don't quote me on that. We tried to get new writers to work with us at the start, but most weren't that good, and in most cases they also couldn't accept that they weren't that good. We did have other people's scenes, but Ecstasy rewrote almost all of them.
That guy didn't write anything, we didn't use any of his ideas, and I'm starting to think he might have some sort of mental disorder. Please ignore him.
Ignore the useless haters. You people do excellent work, especially Ecstasy. I love what you did with your mod. It adds a ton of new things, but the writing seems to remain in tune with the original. Keep being awesome!

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that, like, 99.63% of us know that he's full of shit. And that 0.37% is him.
So this demo, is it going to be like the last demo? Where that one was three battles with barely any context for them other than "Hey, getting the spirits!", will this one be more or less or...? Meh, I'm just really curious. In case you don't know, this is actually one of my favorite games out there and it's a mod of a Japanese fetish game. Ecstasy, if you read these, you're god damn brilliant. I was in the original IRC (Under a different name though. I don't know if there's still one. If there is, I would like to join it again). You've got your quirks, but what awesome writers and comedians don't? I've been writing for a long time, both regular and comedy stuff, and you're still awesome.
If you wouldn't mind me coming back to the IRC and giving it a shot at writing (I didn't get the chance to try it out before), I'm great at taking constructive criticism and you don't have to use anything I write. My strength is in making references though, so I don't know if you want to use any of that kind of stuff. I have experience with writing the spirits from other projects, I'd say I'm the absolute best at writing Gnome. Yes, a joke. Hell, if one line I wrote was used, I'd just be in... Ecstasy.
I think that pun just kick me out of the IRC for good.
Anyway, sorry for the wall of text.

ReplyDeletePeople. I had the story set up so that Luka would be forced to Dual Weild durring a fight with one of the 4 Big Monsters. Shypnx, Kraken, Poseidoness, or Yamata no Orochi. Basicly Alice was gona toss him the other sword and you would get 1 or 2 chances to win. But Ecstasy dident want to mess with the Editing for that. he whimpered and whined. then he setup a situation to make me look bad in the IRC channel by attacked it in Troll Fasion. so he remakes it elswhere "on a Troll server no less" and then he bribed the wiki admins somehow to make sure No One would know that He did not Create the story. That is the truth. I also wanted to set up after that a way to give Luka the abilty to create a Angel type body ( Like Tamamo or Alice pointed out b4 Alma shows up on the boat ) only his artifical body would be able to handle All his angel powers. Again. Ecstasy dident want to edit that in with Monster Lab. he claimed he dident have time he had to arguee with nuts on 4chan. Everyone following? I knowm ore about the story and way it was sopest to go because I am the auther of the first 2 parts.

If you had you ideas stolen, and the reason why part 3 is taking forever is because Ecstasy stole your ideas and has none of his own, then make your own mod. I'm not trolling. I've banned him from the Wiki about 5 times although I'm not sure if the other admins have banned him or not, and he just won't quit. Hell, last time he told me we'd "suffer his wrath" or something stupid like that.

DeleteOne other strong thing i should point out. anyone that played the game should know that part 1 & 2 had alot of typos. i make typos alot. it took Ecstasy along time to sort out the typos and anyone that reported them to him should know that was my handwriting. Ecstsay rarly makes stupid typo errors. so why was part 1 & 2 filled with dozens and dozens of them.

Im a french guy, and this tenchi remember me when someone tried to stole a Fanmade adventure in MP3 named "Le Donjon de Naheulbeuk" who got surprisingly popularious... A Videogame is on the work, so its says a lot about it.
