Ok, I gotta ask this now: Are you guys drawing these comics yourself? I mean, my gf just broke up with me, I was very sad and now I sit here laughing because these comics are just awesome!
I have to join those other comments that praise your comics. With them it doesn't matter if it's a new release or a delay that you're telling us about, as long as the comics go there I always leave this blog happier then when I came in.
But I do look forward to see how Alma Elma reacts in the mod when Luka doesn't give two shits about her tail. That boring fight made me hate her for the rest of the series.
I'm really curious about the song that you guys use in the title screen. I know that I heard that before in a game and before anyone mention it, it's not "Garden of Gods" from Chrono Cross, or "Wish" from Thousand Arms. I'm positive it came from a game, but I forgot whether it was an PS1 RPG or a Visual Novel/Eroge. Can you enlighten me? Thanks :)
February 9th is the one that will get posted here.
One is already out, but it wasn't made public because it wasn't stable enough yet. Most of the worst bugs have already been fixed, and most of the issues now are with sprites and gaps in content that still need to be filled.
It goes all the way to the end, but quite a few parts are still incomplete, so it'll still feel noticeably unfinished. Like I said, what's in the beta is only about 80-85% of it.
okay that's pretty far. thank you for doing this again and hope you continue doing great work because i enjoyed part 1 and im sure to enjoy part 2 just as well.
I have to give the highest of regards to the writers. I've just started playing the Beta, but that first dream-talk with Ilias...where she explains her motives and talks about how the monsters are to Luka...it's almost convincing. Extremely well written. I'm sure that if I hadn't played the MGQ games first I could genuinely think that both sides have their justifications. Maybe even a genuine split where you CAN side with the angels and still play a good game...some thoughts for future games perhaps?
I have to suggest dialing down Alma Elma a bit; unless I'm missing something major, she's only really beatable by random chance. The evaluation also seems to give counterintuitive advice for beating her, as getting her stuck on magic draining seems to be the best way to avoid her Succubus Hold right now, which is more or less an auto-kill unless there's a trick to getting out of it without taking damage that I haven't found.

As someone who doesn't like Alma Elma, I HIGHLY approve of this comic. Many lulz were made after reading this.
ReplyDeleteAlso, many fanboy/girl squeals were made after reading that the beta testing is happening next week.
Indeed, the comics really make your updates a whole lot better.
ReplyDeleteSo, is this beta release for everyone or just for the approved beta testers?

This is going to be the best day-before-birthday present ever!

ReplyDeleteThe title music is from Grandia 2 for Dreamcast.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot! I completely forgot about that. I assume it was for PS1 because I played it long time ago. Now I can sleep well tonight :D
DeleteIt is going as open beta or only for testers?

Will it come with everything else needed (i.e. the 2Q folder and all the files required for the patch)?
DeleteYes. It wouldn't be playable otherwise.
Deleteso how far will this beta go up to?
